Dr.Florence Fioretti joined University of Strasbourg (UdS) as an Associate Professor and University Hospitals of Strasbourg (HUS) as a Hospital Practitioner in 2007. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 2002 and her PhD (Life and Health Sciences) from the University of Paris V (France) in 2007. The focus of her research was tissue engineering, wound healing and matrix remodelling. She has specialization in “Conservative Odontology and Endodontics” and is currently attached to the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), France.
She shares the research work being carried out in the group of Dr N. Benkirane-Jessel on regenerative nanomedicine. She has contributed to develop innovative active biomaterials for endodontic regeneration, nanofunctionalised by an anti-inflammatory hormone (α-MSH). She employs the nanotechnologies for orchestrate regeneration of different oral tissues. Further, her research covers regenerative matrix fabrication for needs of bone and teeth.
In 2011, she worked at the Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanoscience (IMCN) in University of Louvain Belgium as a guest researcher for one year.
